What is Memorandum Bill of Lading?

A Memorandum Bill of Lading is a document used in shipping to provide proof of delivery of a shipment without the need for a full Bill of Lading. The Memorandum Bill of Lading contains only limited information about the shipment, including the name and address of the shipper and the consignee, the date of shipment, and a brief description of the cargo. The Memorandum Bill of Lading is often used when the full Bill of Lading is not available or when the shipment is being transported by a different carrier than the one that issued the Bill of Lading.
