Internal Shifting of Cargo

Internal shifting within general cargo terminal refers to the process of moving and rearranging cargo within a general cargo terminal or storage facility to optimize space utilization, streamline operations, and facilitate efficient handling of goods.  

Cargo terminals often receive a wide range of goods, from containers to lose cargo, breakbulk, and palletized items. Internal shifting allows terminal operators to reorganize cargo within storage areas, ensuring that available space is used effectively. This might involve repositioning containers, stacking cargo differently, or adjusting storage racks.
